I'm not a genie. Although, I did pose as one in a self portrait art photo with my blue "I Dream of Jeannie" style bottle. I wonder why they didn't use the classic Aladdan style lamp in the TV show. I liked it when they would show inside Jeannie's bottle. The decorations were so exotic and sensual...plush and comfortable. What a lovely little get a way spot... For some reason, recently that's what I feel like doing...going back into the bottle...the lamp. Are the winter blues starting already?

Wake Up

Winter is coming. It's time to go within and reflect on this past year. But, this morning my mind drifts back to when I believe I fist started to "awaken". It was in the early 90's when I first read The Celestine Prophecy. Years before this I had read a couple of books by Shirley MacLaine so esoteric ideas and concepts weren't completely foreign to me. What made this reading experience different is that there was a group of us that read TCP at the same time and because we all worked together (at a hair salon) it made it easy for us to discuss the book and share our experiences of rising awareness and the synchronistic events each of us were experiencing. It was about that time the salon had added a massage therapy room. There were a couple of MT's that were very knowledgeable of eastern philosophies and esoteric concepts which helped to further expand my consciousness with conversations and other books they shared with me. The MT's did reiki and chakra balancing techniques on me that I feel were very beneficial for me. One of the things that was new to me was esoteric music. This new music and manipulation of sounds had a profound effect on my awakening and/or raising my conscious. One of the artist's music who I felt drawn to/moved by was that of John Huling and the name of the CD was Spiritlands. It is still one of my favorites today.
